SHORTY & WAGS FAMOUS WINGS

 

 (One 8-ounce bag of ''Shorty & Wags All Purpose Batter" will cover 25-30 whole wings)

Step 1: Pour one package of batter mix into a medium bowl. Slowly mix in one cup of cold water. Stir until smooth. Batter should be the consistency of thin pancake batter. Add more water a little at a time if needed.

Step 2: Place rinsed and dried whole chicken wings into a large bowl. Pour batter over wings. Mix batter and wings by hand until wings are covered evenly. 

Step 3: Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350 degrees. Drop wings into the oil one at a time. Use tongs to keep wings from sticking together. Cook for approximately 10-13 minutes. (Depending on the size of the fryer and wing size, cook only the number of wings that there is enough space so that they are not touching.)

Step 4: Place cooked wings in a large bowl or pan, baste all sides of the wings with melted butter or margarine. Sprinkle with ''Shorty and Wags All Purpose Seasoning''. Toss wings and season again to desired taste.
